Field work 2008

Three major campaigns are carried out this spring at the same time. We will provide some more detailed information about them later on - some info can be found in the news section of our page. But there are already some pictures available.

Ny-Ålesund pictures

From 14.4. until 13.5.2008, Eva Leu, Angela Wulff and Wojtek Moskal are working in Ny-Ålesund with experiments about the effect of light on algal food quality.

Rijpfjorden 2008

From the 23 of April to the 5 May, we repeated our sampling program conducted last year during the same time period. The CLEOPATRA field party consisted of: Joswa Wiktor (ice algae and phytoplankton), Agata Weydmann (Calanus) and Janne Søreide (Calanus). The IceAmph field party consisted of: Henrik Nygård (amphipods) and Mikko Vithakari (amphipods). In addition, Kåre Johansen from the UNIS logistic department joined us, making sure that everything went smoothly.

Cruise with RRS James Clark Ross (in Norwegian only)
